Auto Waterers and Supplies

DRINK CUP IS THE MOST SANITARY WATERING SYSTEM AVAILABLE - These cups have a spring loaded trigger stem for positive shut off of water. Water flows only when the birds beak is in the cup. No messy wet spots as with nipple drinkers. DESIGNING A SYSTEM - Drink cups require a source of water at a pressure below 5 lbs. PSI which is provided by a pressure reducing valve, or by gravity tanks (bucket) (less than five feet above drinkers). Use with ¼” or 5/16' tubing.

Low pressure auto water systems using the 1/4" or 5/16" flexible tubing and #4085 cups are used year around here in southwest Arkansas. During the winter, if the temps drop below freezing, we use flexible #40 cups hanging on wire to water in until the temperature rises above freezing again. These systems do not break when the water freezes. Many nights our system will freeze up and then thaw out by mid morning and start providing drinking water. We only have to haul water to individual cups during weather that stays below freezing all or most of the day.
